About Artistic research at Malmö Art Academy, Lund University
Full PhD program in Fine Art since 2002. Three researchers have graduated, in 2006:
(See and Seen, Seeing Landscapes through artistic practice)
(Lak-ka-pid-lak-ka-perd, contemporary urban conditions with special reference to thai homosexuality),
and Miya Yoshida
(The Invisible Landscapes, The construction of New Subjectivities in the Era of the Mobile Telephone).
Currently, five artists and one curator are admitted to the PhD program, and are to present their dissertations in 2011 ( Julie Ault ), 2012 (Frans Jacobi, SimonSheikh), 2013 ( Matthew Buckingham,Mats Eriksson, Apolonija Sustersic). The phd group are having seminars on a regular basis, presenting and discussing their ongoing research. May 2010 the new research center for the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts at Lund University opens – Inter Arts Center – with a special focus on inter-disciplinary events, and experimental research in fine and performing arts.
